Lost my phone!

By keepcalm · September 19, 2010 · 0 Comments · 11 Views

I had one hell of a weekend! Not only did I get extremely drunk and ruined the night for everyone, but I lost my Blackberry. I really really sucks. You know that feeling when you don`t have your purse with you? It's 1000X worse.
I silver lining of this situation is that I have to get a new phone.... a Iphone perhaps?? :)

9/11 & Vaccine Cover-Ups

By keepcalm · September 15, 2010 · 0 Comments · 8 Views

Haven't really posted much in awhile! But the truth is that I haven't read or seen anything new (about fashion) worth posting. Lately, I've taken an interest in reading about the economy and politics. Has anyone been hearing about the stories the 9/11 was a set up by the US gov't? I believe it. Anyways, check out this blog. Lot's and lot's of interesting topics to think about. One that really got me was what they're putting in vaccines that we don't know about and how swine was all a conspiracy. This article really is something I think everyone should read because thinking about getting their flu shot this fall. I for one, didn't get mine last fall and I don't plan on getting it this year.

Watches

By keepcalm · September 6, 2010 · 0 Comments · 10 Views

This Michael Kors Midsized Chronograph Watch is at the top of my wish list right now. At $383 (after tax) it's just gonna have to wait! However, lately I've been really loving the punch that a statement watch makes to any outfit. Instantly a plain out get's a little more interesting and somewhat chic. Also, it's kinda nice to rely on time the good-old-fashioned way!

Nail Art

By keepcalm · September 3, 2010 · 0 Comments · 59 Views

Recently I've been getting into trying some funky nail art. Mostly because now with my new job, I'm allowed to paint my nails! Anyways, I tried this leopard look that I seen on the Wah Nails website awhile ago. I used Knockout Matte Polish in Plaster for the base, White Nail Pen (not sure of the brand) for the details and Rimmel Nail Polish in Black Out for the tips and leopard.

What do you think? :)

Good Beats

By keepcalm · September 1, 2010 · 0 Comments · 10 Views

A couple months ago a friend of mine introduced me into dubstep, and from there I've been exploring different types of remixed beats! Anyways, one of my favorites is Diplo whose remixed hit indie tunes into totally different songs.

Checkkkk it out!

Drifting from the path

By keepcalm · August 26, 2010 · 0 Comments · 8 Views

Don't you hate it when you start a new diet with such motivation and will power, and then with just one moment of weakness can throw it all down the drain? For me, it was a box of mixed dried fruit -- a devistating 1370 calories. It's surprising how calorie packed a fruit snack like this is! For just 1/2 a cup dried fruit can range from 90-230 calories. Unbelieveable!

Lately I've been trying to eat more healthy and to watch my portions -- I tend to over-do it on my helpings -- but this time I'm recording everything in a food log. By keeping a log, I have a visual aid of when I need to stop munching! Also, it's handy to analyze my eating patterns, whether it's too much sugar and carbs, or not enough protein and calcium.

Anyways, I got a chance to look at the new Wilfred collection, le fou and it is devine! It's so young and feminine; I can only imagine how the fabrics feel!

Clogs??

By keepcalm · August 25, 2010 · 0 Comments · 11 Views

I know clogs are an old trend, but I'm still on the fence if whether I want to embrace it or leave it. I'm actually kinda liking these Swedish Hasbeens Slip In Super High

I'm soon heading out to yoga for the second time today! Although I've just started yoga this summer, I've really gotten into it. Yoga involves alot of flexibility and my previous dance experience has really helped in that department! It's hatha tonight thank god, I'm still sore from this morning!

#1 Wild Child Jacket, $28.99 Roxy
It has been my mission this summer to find the perfect military style jacket for fall. A jacket like this is so perfect because there's countless ways to style it.

#2 Leather Tassel and Padlock Bag, $50 Topshop
This is a really cute take on cross bags that I've been seeing everywhere this summer. The fringe and lock add a hint of military style and the chain shoulder strap really stands out.

#3 Smooth Leather Military Belt, $375 Burberry
As much as the $375 price tag hurts, I love the style of the clasp on this belt. One like this would look great with a pair of high-waisted trousers -- or even better, cinching at waist over a camo jacket.

#4Washed Military Shirt, $55 Topshop
When shopping for fall pieces, I always ask myself, What do I already have that this will go with in my closet? A button-up like this is simple enough to go with anything from a pair of jeans to a patterned skirt. The colour is also neutral enough so that when spring comes around again, it won't be in the back of your closet.

#5 Leather Shorts, $378 Joie Dempsey
These shorts are at the top of my wish list for fall. All summer, I've been wearing a pair of high waist silk shorts, and these are the cooler season equivalent. I love them.

#6 "Blair" Lace-Up Military Midcalf Boots, $190 Miss Sixty
Gorgeous with anything! Jeans, trousers, skirts, leggings, dresses.....!

Art Gallery

By keepcalm · August 11, 2010 · 0 Comments · 11 Views

Today is my birthday. At first I was feeling a bit depressed because I didn`t really have anyone to spend the day with, but after deciding to skip my work out and busing downtown I felt better. I spent the day at the National Art Galley. It was my first time at a real gallery and wow. I was ah-mazzzz-ing to see an Andy Warhol or Picasso in the flesh. The Pop Life exhibit was really interesting, and it really appealed to my favorite styles of contemporary art.
